Hazrul has one of the smoothest, velvety R&B vocals in the industry. Hazrul’s greatest influence in music includes great vocalists like Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Mariah Carey and Guy Sebastian. His career in music started young and one of the milestone of his success was when Hazrul collaborated with songwriter Mayuni Omar, winning the Juara 2002 songwriting competition and the song ‘Kaulah Segalanya’, hit the top of the charts receiving a record 8 nominations in 7 different categories in the Anugerah Planet Muzik 2004 including Most Popular Male Artiste (Regional) and Best New Artiste (Regional).
His latest project was being a part of 2014 Chingay Festival where he, together with three other top local singers, sang the theme song, Knit With One Heart, composed by Jay Lin. He will also be gracing the opening ceremony of the SEA games in June 2015. Adding to his list of accolades, Hazrul is also the lead singer of Singapore reknown Acappella group, Vocaluptuous.
